Your estimate in the first place should be based on the MVP though, not aiming for perfection. Yes, it's true that sometimes projects take as much time to get to 100% as they did to get to 90% (the 90-90 rule) but this is less about bad time estimation and more about being too much of a perfectionist. I still think it's important to be able to estimate time on top of knowing your MVP features.
